Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood). They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
The managing partner is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The managing partner supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

At the request of the partners the reception staff have been instructed to ask the nature of any urgent or emergency appointments that are being booked, you can obviously refuse to disclose the nature of any appointment.
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
The health visiting service is available to all families with children up to 5 years of age including expectant mums. Our practice health visitor team members are Fiona Fontaine, Jenny Moreland and Stacey court and they are based at the Gateway in Craven Arms and the parents helpline telephone number 01588 676322.
There is a weekly health vistor clinic every Wednesday from 1-3pm appointment needed. If you have any worries or concerns about your childs health, growth or development please do not hesitate to contact one of the team.
Community Care Co-ordinator
Susan Millington is based at the practice one day per week on a Monday, assisting patients in need of help, support and advice by signposting them to other useful services. Community Care Co-ordinators work with the NHS, the council and voluntary services and have become local experts on what is happening in our community. Community Nursing Sisters
Will provide nursing assistance for those confined to their home. They can be contacted by telephoning 01588 676323, please leave a message on their answer machine. Messages are read at 08:30, 13:00 and 16:30. Messages after 14:00 are dealt with the following day. The District nurses are available at weekends, but there is currently no out-of-hours service between 17:00 - 09:00.
Provide ante-natal clinics, ante-natal relaxation, aqua natal, parent craft classes, visiting patients in their homes both before and after delivery of their babies and post natal groups. They can be contacted at Ludlow hospital, maternity department on 01584 871120.

Sam Roberts Dispensary Manager
Sam is an experienced dispenser who has many years experience in the pharmaceutical industry involving hospital and practice dispensing. Sam is responsible for the operation and administration of the dispensary. Many of the problems that patients have with their repeat medication can be dealt with directly by Sam who is available Monday - Wednesday mornings only.
Mrs Angela Hirst and Mrs Gwyn Bennett assist Sam in the dispensary.
